• OFTEC Registered Technicians have been specially trained on oil-fired boilers, appliances, oil storage and plumbing.  

• OFTEC Technicians are recognised by the government in the same way GAS SAFE engineers are competent to work with gas. Under current Building Regulations, before an oil-fired appliance or an oil storage tank is installed or replaced, a Building Notice must be obtained from the local authority, then a fee is payable and finally the work should be inspected by a Building Control Officer. 

• OFTEC Registered technicians are exempt from this requirement, and can self-certify work for which they are registered. This saves the customer time and money. They can also give advice on how to improve the efficiency of your heating system as well as energy saving measures that can be suitable for your home.
